Extremely scarce and early pre first world war children’s beaker decorated with an ilustration of a toy soldier dressed as a Grenadier Guard, sentry box, rag doll and a beach ball. Made by J.G. Meakin and with their printed mark and first “Sol” trade mark dating from1912 (cf. Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks by Geoffrey Godden).Also has the Registered design Number 391413 printed to base (1900 - 1905).Height 10.4 cm.
