Handpainted Victorian tile (thought to be made by Copeland), depicting
a woman dressed in mediaeval costume seated and painting at her easel. This
is a very attractive tile painted in colours in the classical revival style
of the 1860 to 1880 period, and is in good condition. (There is one small
chip top centre - visible in photograph, and a slight underglaze discoloration
in the top right corner, which only affects the background - also just visible.)
Impressed mark to combed back. Height 6 inches by Width 6 inches. Price :
